Elizabeth
Alexander, J.D., Board Member
Elizabeth Alexander is the former Director of the
ACLU's National Prison Project and now in private practice at the Law
Offices of Elizabeth Alexander. A graduate of the Yale Law School,
she has litigated many prison cases in the federal courts, including three cases
before the United States Supreme Court. Alexander has published numerous
articles on prison law and criminal justice reform. A frequent public
speaker, she has testified before Congress on the subject of health care within
the Bureau of Prisons. Elizabeth is co-chair of the FedCURE Bureau of Prisons
Health Issues Committee.
