Rev. Laird is the founder and owner of Expressions Art Gallery, a unique gallery that markets and sells the artwork of persons incarcerated in local, state and federal correctional facilities. As a leading force in criminal justice reform he founded Outreach Ministries in order to provide hope to the hopeless and liberation to those incarcerated spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Alan has been actively involved in prison outreach for most of the past decade. Prior to founding Expressions Art Gallery, Alan taught Special Education in grades 9-12 along with providing case management services to families with children classified as severely emotionally disturbed.
